School History

Crownfield Junior School opened in 1955. It is a three form entry junior school, serving the Collier Row area. The school has very few Headteachers in its long history: Mrs Bentley, Mr Thompson, Mr Nott and Mr Patient. The school is currently run by Mrs Horne as Headteacher and Mr Brown as Executive Headteacher.

The school is set in rolling grounds and is a delightful place to be!  It is set to expand to a 4 form entry from September 2020.

Our Mission

We aim to provide all of our pupils with meaningful experiences in each area of school life. We strive for excellent standards and have high expectations for each of the children in our care. We are open with children and parents/guardians about the progress that is being made; the cornerstone of all that we do must be effective teaching. We see the quality of our staff as crucial to the future success of our pupils and we will invest in their training and development accordingly. Our school is a disciplined and caring environment where everyone has the right to feel valued.
